Find the song
nobody tagged.
Share a TikTok to TagTheSound and get the track — title, artist, and a link straight to Apple Music. That's the whole app.
No subscription, ever.
Three steps, and you're out.
No feed to scroll, no profile to build. The app opens, tells you what it's doing, and hands you the song.
Pick TagTheSound from the share sheet. No copying links, no switching apps by hand.
Resolving link, downloading audio, matching. Named stages, not a mystery spinner.
Or copy the title, preview it, or share it. Every lookup is saved to Recent.
Not in TikTok? Paste any link into the app and it works the same way.
Free means free.
Song-ID apps have quietly turned into subscription funnels: a countdown before your result, a full-screen offer after it, three taps to find the close button. We built the opposite.
One small ad sits under a finished result. Never during a lookup, never full-screen, never in your way. That's how it stays free — and that's the whole business model.
Get TagTheSoundSometimes there's no match. We'll say so.
TikTok audio is often sped up, pitched, or layered over dialogue, and that breaks fingerprinting. When it fails, you get a plain explanation and two useful next moves — not a spinner that never ends, and not an upsell pretending a paid tier would have found it.
Questions, answered plainly.
Yes. No trial, no weekly plan, no locked features. One small ad appears under a finished result and that covers the server bill.
No. TagTheSound only ever sees the link you send it. There is no sign-in anywhere in the app.
Your lookup history lives on your device. Links are sent to our matcher to fetch and fingerprint the audio, then discarded.
Sped-up, pitched, or dialogue-heavy audio breaks fingerprinting. When that happens we say so and offer a slower second pass.
Reels and Shorts links work in most cases today. TikTok is what we tune for.
Not yet. The share-sheet flow is built on iOS extensions; a Share Target version is on the list.
Next time a sound is untagged,
you'll have this.
Free, no account, nothing to unlock. Install it once and forget it's there until you need it.
